Privacy Policy

Tallowdark for iPhone · Effective September 30, 2026

The short version: Tallowdark doesn't collect, store or sell any personal information. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Your progress stays on your iPhone. Purchases and the leaderboard are handled by Apple.

This policy explains how Tallowdark (“the game”), made by Plainwork Software (“we”, “us”), handles information. It applies only to the Tallowdark app for iPhone.

What we collect

Nothing. The game doesn't ask for your name, email address, location, contacts, photos or any other personal information. It doesn't include analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and it doesn't use cookies or advertising identifiers.

What stays on your iPhone

Your progress is saved only on your device. That includes gold, unlocked characters and cosmetics, relics, settings and your best scores. We can't see it and it isn't sent to us. Deleting the app deletes this saved progress.

Services provided by Apple

In-app purchases

Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment details. Apple tells the game which items you've bought so it can unlock them. Apple's handling of purchase information is covered by the Apple Privacy Policy.

Game Center

If you're signed in to Game Center, the game sends your score to Apple's Game Center leaderboard when a run ends. Other players can see your Game Center nickname and score on that leaderboard. Game Center is operated by Apple, and you can manage or turn it off in your iPhone's Settings under Game Center.

Crash reports and app statistics

If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports and summary usage statistics. These don't identify you. You can change this in Settings under Privacy & Security, then Analytics & Improvements.

Children

Tallowdark has horror themes and isn't directed at children under 13. Because the game collects no personal information, it doesn't knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices

Changes to this policy

If the game ever starts handling information differently, we'll update this page and change the effective date above before the change reaches the App Store.
